Shalom Matriculation Higher Secondary School is an English medium school located about 45 km from the city of Tirunelveli in South India. The school provides value-based, quality education to children from surrounding towns and villages. The focus of the school is the overall development of the child: academically, physically and spiritually.
Shalom Matriculation Higher Secondary School has been recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu and students appear for the 10th and 12th grade examinations conducted by the State Government.

Our History
Shalom Matriculation Higher Secondary School was started in 1992 by Dr. & Dr.(Mrs.) Rajasingh and is currently run by the non-profit SHALOM EDUCATIONAL TRUST. Dr.Rajasingh, an aerospace scientist and his wife Dr. Malathi a medical doctor, were living in Germany when they decided to return to serve in India. They settled in Pavoorchatram and started the school, with the aim of providing education that was of a high standard and yet affordable, for children in this rural area. |

Dr. Rajasingh is the correspondent of the school and is supported by a group of well-qualified, efficient staff. They have enabled students to do well, both academically as well as in other co-curricular areas.
